At the initiative of the Archbishop of Bourges, at the end of the 12th century began the construction of a cathedral dedicated to Saint-Etienne. Completed as early as 1230, it underwent many redevelopments during the Renaissance. It is distinguished from other cathedrals by its stained glass windows and its unified interior. The cathedral is part of UNESCO World Heritage.
